How products are ranked

Zawda is a marketplace: several shops sell their products, and Zawda also sells its own. As French law (Code de la consommation L111-7) and EU regulation 2019/1150 ask, this page explains how products are ordered in categories, brands and search.
The default order
- Products featured by Zawda (chosen by the Zawda team, never paid for by sellers).
- Shop quality: a score from 0 to 100, worked out every hour. It goes up with customer reviews (average rating, from 3 reviews) and sales in the last 30 days; for shops that ship their own products, it also goes up with shipping on time and down with late shipping and cancellations the customer did not ask for. A new shop gets a small bonus for 30 days. A paused or suspended shop always comes last. Products sold by Zawda count as an average shop.
- Zawda's display order: with the same score, the order the Zawda team chose for its shelves.
- Newest: then newer products come first.
Sponsored products
Sellers can pay to show a product at the top of the home page, a category or a search. These products always say "Sponsored" with the shop's name. Paying does not change the order of the other products.
Your sorting
You can sort by price, newest or rating: your choice replaces the default order. Filters (brand, characteristics, price) only take products out.
What does not count
No shop pays to move up the default order. The Zawda fee or the seller's plan have no effect on the ranking.
